Emily is a seasoned Canadian magazine editor and writer with experience working across numerous consumer and trade industry brands. Her primary writing and research focus includes literary theory and cultural analysis as they pertain to the female experience, interpersonal relationships, film, and creative non-fiction/memoir.

As a publishing consultant, she has worked with numerous clients advising on how to craft pitch letters, research editors and agents, and successfully publish. In 2021, she was brought onboard to launch and help manage BOOKTORE, a storytelling tool for authors wishing to extend their storytelling abilities beyond the page and into merchandise.

She received her Master of Science in Publishing from New York University where she successfully defended her thesis identifying opportunities to leverage existing audience and use content and live shopping to drive e-commerce sales and complete the retail ecosystem. 

Emily is the acting venture news editor at Coralus and a content update editor at RealSimple.com. She lives with her tiny blue merle sheepadoodle, Mr. Waffles, in downtown Toronto and enjoys cooking, paint by numbers, pilates, and binging true crime documentaries.
